Yesterday was a special day for me, for a number of reasons. One of the highlights was operating the jet into Bern, the capital city of Switzerland. The runway is short for our aircraft. It’s also 15 metres narrower than a normal runway. The approach path is over the city and a bunch of trees and set at 4°, where a normal approach is 3°. Fuel is really expensive in Switzerland, with all of their green taxes, so we bring enough to carry us almost 4 hours further to our onward destination of Beiru
